Sonaari Festival takes place on Enonsaari Island in Lahti, Finland
As the festival is located on an island, the journey includes both land and water travel — and arriving is part of the experience.
Below you’ll find clear instructions for arriving by train, bus, or car, followed by boat transfer information.
arriving from Helsinki by train
Travelling from Helsinki to Lahti by train is fast and easy.
Train route: Helsinki → Lahti
Travel time: approx. 50–60 minutes

Trains run frequently throughout the day. Approx. €12–€19 one-way when booked online with VR or via ticket platforms. These prices are typical adult one-way fares and can vary based on demand, date, and how early you book, so it’s a good idea to check schedules and book in advance.
From Lahti Railway Station, continue to the harbour area, where boat transportation to Enonsaari operates. Walking (approx. 20–25 minutes, depending on departure point). Local bus or taxi to the harbour area.

Arrive directly at Lahti Travel Centre, which is close to the railway station and city centre From the bus terminal, continue to the harbour area by foot, local transport, or taxi.

Driving to Lahti is straightforward.

Parking is available in designated public parking areas near the harbour and city centre. Please note that there is no car access to Enonsaari Island itself.

Sonaari’s official boat Suomen Neito runs once per day with limited capacity, and the round-trip ticket costs 18€ per day. In addition, other operators run multiple trips between the harbor and the island throughout the day. A water taxi is the most flexible option, transporting small groups on demand, non-stop.

Regular route service to Enonsaari is provided by M/S Kymppi approximately five trips per day. Up-to-date schedules and contact information can be found on the company’s Facebook page closer to the summer and the event.
Alternatively, Enonsaari can also be reached easily by water taxi. The water taxi will get you from one harbor to another quickly and in style with seating for 9 passengers. Info and reservations.

Camping & tents
Camping Pass (17.-19.7.2026) 20€. Buy pass at Biletti.fi
The Camping Pass is a separate add-on ticket and is valid from Friday to Sunday. With a Camping Pass, you can stay at the camping area for one or two nights during the event weekend. Either from Friday to Saturday or from Saturday to Sunday, or the whole weekend from Friday to Sunday.
The Camping Pass includes access to the Sonaari Camping area from Friday to Sunday, the possibility to stay in your own tent or hammock, and the use of shower facilities.
Please note that the Camping Pass does not include a festival ticket. Access to the festival area requires a valid festival ticket, and boat transportation is available for an additional fee.
The camping area is located on the island where the festival takes place. If you are staying on the island for the entire festival, only one round-trip boat transfer is required
